Valentines Spectacular
Parkwood Manor Retirement Residence, Coquitlam, BC
The residents and staff of Parkwood Manor pulled out all the stops to do an amazing fundraiser for the local Heart & Stroke Foundation. Singing Telegrams were available to purchase for a $2 donation. The management team were adorned in red, white and pink and belted out the songs with great enthusiasm. There was a choice of four songs: I’ve Got You Babe, If you Want My Body, Your Love Makes Me Want to Shout and Love Makes the World Go Round. Residents were tearing up with laughter and many were touched by the whole affair. Secret admirers purchased telegrams for people they had a “crush” on, and generous folks even purchased extra telegrams for those who might not get special attention on Valentine’s Day. All in all, $300 was raised and a formal cheque presentation was made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Talent and creativity runs strong at Parkwood Manor!
